I don’t feel my cartridges are lasting very long.

It is good practice to use your cartridges within 2-3 weeks. Before you insert the cartridge into the device, you should warm the cartridge between your hands. The flow of the CryoPen® cartridge depends on the temperature which should be between 19-22°C.

Please refer to our troubleshooting guide for help.

If you are still experiencing problems, please submit a ticket to our technical team.

Please load a cartridge as usual making sure to consider the temperature. Remember the temperature affects the flow.  It is very important that you MUST make sure that the device is empty, no pieces left inside, before loading the new cartridge. You need to see silver before placing a new piercer button into the chamber When you load the cartridge make sure you pierce it when it's level/horizontally not vertically. Although you can do it vertically, we personally feel this way you get better pressure, it is more natural to tighten something this way. Pierce and tighten right up tight.

Once loaded, use a white/red tip and use a stop clock to record the time. Use it for 20 seconds and then go back to it later and do the same, repeat this process several times. Add the times up as you go. Use it over a dark surface so you can see the gas flow. Draw circles or just move it around. If you can do this over three to four days, that would give a better assessment, 40 – 60 seconds per day. You should be getting 180 seconds of product easily.

We can add an extra cartridge to your next order to cover this test.
