How can I maintain my CryoPen over time?

While there's minimal that can go wrong with the CryoPen, it's advisable to clean the threads of the device periodically. Additionally, reapplying a coating of silicone lubricant to the threads can facilitate the piercing of cartridges, ensuring smooth operation. Keep in mind that the tips are self-cleaning during device use. However, if the device is dropped, the tips may become damaged, and it's recommended to always keep the cap screwed on between treatments to prevent any unintended damage. If a tip becomes damaged, a new one may need to be purchased.

While routine servicing is generally unnecessary, it's crucial to engage in simple maintenance practices to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your CryoPen. Periodically clean the threads of the device and reapply a coating of silicone lubricant for smoother cartridge piercing.

Additionally, keep in mind the following maintenance tips:

  • Cleaning: All external parts can be wiped with a cloth soaked in any noncorrosive disinfecting solution. However, avoid immersing the entire device in a disinfecting solution.

  • Autoclaving: Although the tips are self-cleaning during device use, they are suitable for autoclaving, enhancing their sterilization. (only the applicators)

  • Handling: If the device is dropped, the tips may become damaged. It is highly recommended to always keep the cap screwed on between treatments to prevent any unintended damage. Should a tip become damaged, a new one may need to be purchased.

Remember, the CryoPen is designed for durability, but regular care ensures it continues to deliver efficient and reliable results.
